Just bought this Scout and the shifter cable is frozen. I've tried several types of penetrating lubes and am unable to get it to free up. Any suggestions? Does anyone have a replacement cable for a 727?

Hi Dave
the short answer is you probably have to get under there and take it apart. You can try spraying some penetrating oil in the sleeve to see if that helps. You can order shifter cable from rock auto or any scout vendor. they are pretty cheap. just make sure it is for scout 2 and not 800. the 800 cable is much shorter. I made that mistake once

Thanks Shaun. I haven't had any luck with the penetrating oil in the sleeve. I'll take it apart and try see if I can save it. Rock Auto and IH Only do not list the part. I'll probably call MIke as I'm sure he has one.
