*****Friday, September 14th through Sunday, September 16th, 2018 at Hungry Valley SVRA, Gorman, CA*****

It’s that time of year again! Scouts West Grapevine Chapter and Frazier Park 4x4 Clubs presents the 5th Annual Potluck Picnic Camp Out, hosted by Jeremiah and Aubrey! We invite you to come have great time this year! Our annual picnic raises funds for our off-road clubs to assist in being part of our mountain communities. The clubs participate in many local events, as well as keep many trails around the area open and beautiful for all 4x4 enthusiasts. This year we will lead the in-park trail runs, as well as the Lockwood Miller-Jeep Trail Moonlight Run. Held at Hungry Valley SVRA’s large Pavilion Campground, our event will include camping, trail runs, flexing on the RTI ramp, the Potluck Picnic, kid and adult raffles, games, friends, laughs, shenanigans and much more, right here in our backyard. Also marking the 5th Annual Picnic, we will have t-shirts for the event available for purchase as a memento of the fun weekend.
This is a family friendly event, and ALL are welcome! Bring your camping gear, your 4x4 toys, and your appetite for some fun!
We’d like to ask everyone to sign up for a potluck item, so bring your specialty! Yum! As always, the clubs will provide the main course of chicken and tri-tip. Please look through the list and see what you can bring! The more the better!

---DETAILS BELOW---

*CAMPING*
Camping will begin Friday morning, tentatively around 10am (9/14) at the Pavilion Campground at Hungry Valley SVRA, 5301 Ralphs Ranch Rd, Gorman, CA 93243.
Camping/vehicle passes will be available at North and South kiosks—be sure to inform them that you are with FP 4x4 and/or Scouts West club to receive your free pass for the weekend.
It is a dry camp, no water or sewer hookups, there are bathrooms available, so make sure to bring plenty of water. Should you need anything the nearest towns are 15 mins away. **IMPORTANT: There is a MAJOR fire restriction in place right now this year that includes the state park. If you have a propane type of fire pit, you may use it, otherwise no open flames or fires---things may change by September. I will keep you updated.*****
There is ample space for everyone, so come get set up when you can.

*MOONLIGHT RUN*
Friday evening (9/14) the Moonlight Run will be departing the park at 7pm.
Lead by Johnny Vogelsang, you will head out to Lockwood by nightfall and over the course of about 4-5 hours (depending on the amount of participants) you will make your way back into Hungry Valley around midnight or possibly later.
It is a night run so bring your flashlights, sweatshirts, snack/dinner, and plenty to drink. Please wear sensible shoes such as boots since you will be in the forest in the dark. Lockwood Miller-Jeep trail is pretty rough terrain. All that is required is 33” tires and a sense of adventure. Johnny will need a head count, so please comment below if you are interested in going on this run. Questions about this can be geared toward him. Get ready to enjoy those stars!

*IN-PARK TRAIL RUNS*
In-park trail runs will be lead on Saturday morning (9/15) departing around 9am.
You will have a choice of easy/beginner/scenic to moderate to extreme/Dumb-Dumb runs. Volunteers are always welcome to lead these runs. Please let us know if you are interested in leading. There is also the 4x4 course in the park that is a fun experience for everyone. That is what we are out there to do, so let’s get rollin’!

*RAFFLES*
This year our AWESOME friends at 4 Wheel Parts of Bakersfield have already donated a killer raffle prize to our clubs: a large YETI cooler!
We will have so many more great prizes that will be up for grabs!
We’d like to ask everyone to try to ALSO get donations for the prizes for the raffle. Ask you local auto shops or the people you use the most for your vehicle or even non-vehicle needs. Every prize counts and are always appreciated!
Please let us know if you have something to donate, we are always collecting the items to make sure they are prized properly.
The KIDS raffle will have lots of great stuff too, sponsored again by our good friends of Trail Crew 4x4! Maybe even another RC CAR Grand Prize this year! We are always taking donations for them also!
RAFFLE TICKETS will be on SALE at the event, so make sure to bring your $!
The Raffles will be after Grub on Saturday evening (9/15).

*PRE-ORDER T-SHIRTS*
This year we will have t-shirts available for purchase at the event while supplies last. If you’d like to GUARENTEE your shirt you can Pre-Order it with Aubrey. Deadline is AUGUST 20th, 2018. CASH ONLY PLEASE! It’s the easiest way to pay! Shirts at the event will be limited and prices may vary.
This year our design comes from a very talented 10-year-old who did a great job drawing it up! We will try to post it later once completed! Comment below if interested or contact Aubrey.

*MEMBERSHIPS*
Are you interested in becoming a member of our clubs? Please let us know and we will put you in contact with the right people! We love gaining new members that have the passion for off-roading! It is a lot of fun being part of a group that can understand the passion of what we do! Consider it and let us know! Sign ups for memberships will be available at the event!
