Meeting was run by Odell. Met district rangers and OHV techs. Passed out guidelines for AAT groups. Some new rules about trail work. Greg is working behind the scene. Program run though Ranger, Odell Tucker, Greg's boss.

1N34 our basic contact person is Travis Mason, Asst. Recreation Officer, 909-382-2716, Main contact is Ranger Joe Rechsteiner, 909-453-5494
Our trail is closed until FS biologist says we can go up due to fawning season.

Key points: Brushing up to berm only. Anything past berm. NOW we need Ranger approval.

Both SW AAT: Need form 301a on file. Main Chapter and San Diego has completed. On trail use: Sign in sheet, 301b has to be used.

NO MORE CHAIN SAW USE WITHOUT Nat. Forest Sawyer card. If you use them, you are not covered by Forest Service. Could loose trail. Have to get carded sawyer for work. I hold a card. NEW FEDERAL REGULATIONS: 40 hour class to get card.

Winching: okay for now to move items, but if they get certification program set up, then only Certified people can winch.

Posting San Bernardino NF AAT Duties below: NOTE: DISTRICT RANGER APPROVAL:
*Cut back brush and live impending materials from roadways 2' away from road and or trail shoulders. Cut overhanging limbs (using a pole saw) typically suspended 7' or less above the road/trail tread.
*all heavy equipment work needs

It is a new NATIONAL set up for AAT.
