2010 International Harvester Western RegionalsSince 1996, International Harvester enthusiasts have gathered together over the third weekend in April to rekindle some very old friendships. Some come to catch up with folks they haven’t seen in a very long time; some come to admire these old iron trucks we all love so much. Year after year we gather from all points to spend three days together enjoying great company and some of the finest trucks ever made.
Our 14th year marks a new venue for our great event. We are gathering at the KOA Kampground at Calico, California from April 16-18, 2010. This improved location promises new adventure for all participants, whether it’s one of the two trail runs for our Scout owners or, the many self guided sightseeing tours available at Calico Ghost Town, in Barstow, on Historic Route 66, or the vast array of IH vehicles entered into the truck show.
For the first time preregistered participants have an all amenities campground in which to stay, as well as comfortable hotels close by and, are offered a continental breakfast Saturday morning, a full day of activities culminating with Saturday night at the Skyline Drive-in. As in previous years, preregistered participants are promised a great barbecue dinner on Saturday evening, an event t-shirt and, of course ability to participate in our ever popular raffle on Sunday morning.
This year we are delighted to become a part of the ongoing fight to cure
Cystic Fibrosis. In partnering with this fine organization it is our desire to help raise public awareness of this genetic disease and how it can devastate the lives of those afflicted and, their families. To that end we are dedicating 100% of the money collected from the sale of our raffle tickets to the
Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. We are also accepting cash donations made by clicking the
Great Strides button on the
IHWR Home PageAll are welcome to bring your Pre- 1981 vehicle and join us in this celebration of some of the finest historical vehicles made in America.
