Scouts West is a group of people who are interested in trucks (4x4 and 2x4) made by International Harvester. Some of these models include the Scout, Scout 80, Scout 800, Scout 800a, Scout 800b, Scout 810, Traveler, Travelall, Travelett, 1010, 1110, 1210, 1310 and the SSII. Some custom models include the Midnight Star, Patriot. If Mopar and IH had gotten together back in the 70 they may have built the SSIIGTX, (a SSII with a 440 cubic inch engine). The types of wheeling we enjoy include, rock crawling, sand dunes and day trips to the local four wheel drive and off road areas.

Every year SW Grapevine Chapter leads a run on Trail BC 109 in Lockwood Valley which they call the Tour De Sober.
Scouts West will be meeting at 8:30 am January 1st 2015 at the Flying J at Fraiser Park exit on the I-5. Bring a lunch and warm clothing. You don't want to get caught in shorts and a T-shirt as the weather can change quickly. A closed Scout is a warmer scout so bundle up if you're running no top... ladies.

Every year the club Members of Scouts West get together near Palm Springs and have their Holiday Party in the desert.
Great food is eaten, Day and Night runs, Chinese Lanterns lit, White Elephant exchange and long nights by the fire. There will even be a Horse Shoe Tourney. Saturday plan on eating dinner around 4pm so we can have the White Elephant early and night run after.

Scouts West in conjunction with IHWR is proud to announce, for the second year in a row, will be sponsoring California Association of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs.
In years past our beneficiaries of our raffle proceeds were; Wounded Warriors and Children's Hospital of Orange County. Just recently 2 years ago we donated to San Bernardino National Forest Friends. Keeping with our recent involvement to help our off road areas we chose the California Association of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs (CA4WDC) to help raise and donate to. Through last years generous donations to IHWR's raffle we were able to help CA4WDC to continue fighting for access to our public lands with a donation of $3,875.00

Please do your part and help IHWR by sending out Sponsor Letters to generate another great donation for CA4WDC. Follow the Sponsor Letter link below to download the sponsor letter and read more info.
